Originally designed by Nanna Ditzel in 1965, Hallingdal 65 is an exceptionally durable upholstery fabric that features a harmonious blend of wool and viscose, both dyed before spinning to accentuate their texture. The wool contributes superior durability and flexibility, while the viscose enhances the colour with brilliance and depth.
The wool-viscose blend is incredibly smooth to the touch. The pre-dyed fibers create this rich, deep color that looks even better up close against my sofa.
The color depth is really striking thanks to that pre-dyed process, and after a month it still looks brand new with zero pilling. I love how the wool-viscose blend feels substantial without being scratchy.
I’ve had this fabric on my sofa for two months now, and the 1960s Danish design still looks as crisp as day one. The pre-dyed fibers really keep the color from fading, even in a sunlit room.
