Originally designed by Nanna Ditzel in 1965, Hallingdal 65 is an exceptionally durable upholstery fabric that features a harmonious blend of wool and viscose, both dyed before spinning to accentuate their texture. The wool contributes superior durability and flexibility, while the viscose enhances the colour with brilliance and depth.
The wool-viscose blend gives it a nice weight that drapes beautifully over my armchair, and the colors look even richer in person than I imagined.
The weave is tighter than I expected for a wool blend, which should hold up well on our sofa. Even after a few weeks of daily use, it still looks crisp and the colors haven't faded at all.
The wool-viscose blend has a lovely, subtle texture that feels both sturdy and refined. I used it to reupholster an old armchair, and it handled the project perfectly. The fabric’s durability is already impressing me.
