A versatile upholstery fabric with a three-dimensional appearance, Fiord 2 cleverly merges a mélange yarn with a unicoloured yarn. Inspired by the moonlight casting a pearlescent glow on the rippling waters of a Norwegian fjord, its refined expression results in pearl-like dots that dance across the fabric's surface.
The rippled texture gives it a subtle shimmer that shifts depending on the light, exactly like moonlight on water. I used it to re-cover a dining chair and it adds just enough visual depth without being flashy.
Installed this on an armchair and the way the light hits the yarns gives it a soft, almost pearlescent shimmer that changes as you move around the room. The three-dimensional weave feels substantial without being stiff, and it's already held up well to daily use.
The mélange and unicolored yarns create a really cool depth that shifts in different light. I’m using it for a throw pillow cover, and the texture feels substantial without being stiff. Exactly the look I wanted.
