La base fue diseñada en 2009 como accesorio para Kubus y Line para proteger las superficies de la cera que gotea. La base enmarca elegantemente los portavelas y resalta el diseño sencillo tanto de Kubus como de Line. Ha sido diseñada con el máximo respeto por el arquitecto Mogens Lassen, tanto como arquitecto como diseñador.

I was worried the base would look clunky under the candle holder, but it's actually quite elegant and frames it perfectly. The tray lip is just deep enough that the melted wax pools neatly instead of spilling over the edge, and it's easy to wipe clean after each burn.
The wax drips land right in the tray instead of staining my table, which is exactly what I needed for my Kubus. It’s sleek enough that it doesn’t take away from the holder itself, just gives it a clean frame.
