Základna byla navržena v roce 2009 jako doplněk ke Kubus a Line, který chrání povrchy před kapajícím voskem ze svíček. Základna krásně rámuje svícny a zdůrazňuje jednoduchý design obou modelů Kubus i Line. Byla navržena s největším respektem k architektu Mogensu Lassenovi, a to jak jako architektovi, tak jako designérovi.

I was worried the base would look clunky under the candle holder, but it's actually quite elegant and frames it perfectly. The tray lip is just deep enough that the melted wax pools neatly instead of spilling over the edge, and it's easy to wipe clean after each burn.
The wax drips land right in the tray instead of staining my table, which is exactly what I needed for my Kubus. It’s sleek enough that it doesn’t take away from the holder itself, just gives it a clean frame.
