I was worried the base would look clunky under the candle holder, but it's actually quite elegant and frames it perfectly. The tray lip is just deep enough that the melted wax pools neatly instead of spilling over the edge, and it's easy to wipe clean after each burn.
The wax drips land right in the tray instead of staining my table, which is exactly what I needed for my Kubus. It’s sleek enough that it doesn’t take away from the holder itself, just gives it a clean frame.
