Distinguished by its wide back, generous seat and slender frame, the Co Bar Chair is equal parts comfortable and elegant. Conceived in collaboration with Norm Architects and Els Van Hoorebeeck, the elevated design features a footrest for additional support as you sit.
The slender frame looks almost delicate from across the room, but the seat is surprisingly generous and solid once you sit down. I've had it for two weeks and the wide back makes it easy to lounge at the counter without slouching.
The wide back is what sold me, and after a week of use, I'm glad I took the chance. It's a substantial chair that feels elegant without being fussy, and the slender frame makes it look lighter than it actually is.
Assembly took about twenty minutes, and the wide back is genuinely supportive even during long breakfasts. The slender frame makes it feel airy in a small kitchen, though I wish the seat had a bit more padding for all-day sitting. A solid buy for the price.
