Base was designed in 2009 as an accessory for Kubus and Line to protect surfaces from dripping candle wax. Base beautifully frames the candleholders and emphasizes the simple design of both Kubus and Line. Base has been designed with the greatest respect for the architect Mogens Lassen and both as an architect and as a designer.
The wax drips land right in the tray instead of staining my table, and the frame gives the whole setup a cleaner silhouette than I expected. It's minimal but does its job perfectly, and the height sits just right under the candleholder.
The sleek frame does exactly what it promises—no more wiping melted wax off my table during candlelit dinners. I love how it visually completes the holder without overpowering it, and the fit is precise right out of the box.
The drip tray fits perfectly under my Kubus and catches every bit of wax, so I don't have to scrub my table anymore. It's simple, but the way it frames the holder really makes the whole setup look more intentional.
