元々はModel 9と呼ばれていたOdaチェアは、当初から野心的なデザインでした。1956年頃にArnold Madsenによって制作されたこのアームチェアの美的再解釈は、複雑な馬蹄形構造に統合されたヘッドレストと美しく組み込まれた木製アームレストを特徴としています。快適なサポートを提供する包み込むようなデザインは、当初は誤ってNanna Ditzelの作品とされていましたが、2020年にMadsenの作品として正しく認定されました。オリジナルの設計図が存在しないため、ヴィンテージ版に基づいて製造されたOdaチェアは、その張地の精巧さに明らかな卓越した職人技を示しています。脚はナチュラルオークまたはウォールナットからお選びいただけます。
I was a bit nervous buying a chair online without sitting in it first, but the horseshoe-shaped frame gives such a solid, enveloping feel that I forgot my hesitation within minutes. The Hallingdal fabric has a lovely, nubby texture that feels both sturdy and cozy for long reading sessions.
The walnut grain on the arms is stunning in person, and the way the curved back wraps around you makes it feel far more supportive than I expected from a 1950s design. It took me two days to stop walking past it just to run my hand along that horseshoe shape.
The horseshoe frame isn't just a design quirk—it actually cradles you from both sides, so I find myself sinking into it for hours without wanting to get up. The Hallingdal wool has a dry, woven texture that feels substantial but never scratchy, even in summer.
