スウェーデンのデザイナー、アルフ・スヴェンソンが1950年代に考案した照明シリーズ「コレクター」。3つのデザインのうちの1つである壁掛けランプは、無垢の真鍮バンドが円錐形のメタルシェードを支え、光を2方向に照射するのが特徴です。シェードの小さな穴からも光が漏れます。その名はシリーズの収集価値を示し、ミッドセンチュリー照明デザインの真髄を表現しています。
The solid brass band is what sold me—it catches the light just right and gives the whole lamp a sculptural feel against the wall. Took a bit to find a bulb that fit the socket, but once it was up, the crème shade casts such a soft glow.
The crème finish is warmer in person than the photos suggest, and the solid brass band gives it just enough weight to feel premium without being bulky. It took me a few minutes to install since the bracket is a bit fiddly, but once it was up it completely changed the hallway vibe.
