Inizialmente denominata Modello 9, la sedia Oda è stata fin dall'inizio un progetto ambizioso. Creata da Arnold Madsen intorno al 1956, questa reinterpretazione estetica di una poltrona presenta una complessa struttura a ferro di cavallo con poggiatesta integrato e braccioli in legno splendidamente integrati. Offrendo un supporto confortevole, il design avvolgente fu inizialmente – e erroneamente – attribuito a Nanna Ditzel. Nel 2020 è stata correttamente riconosciuta come opera di Madsen. Realizzata seguendo una versione d'epoca, poiché non esistono disegni del progetto originale, la sedia Oda esprime un livello sublime di artigianalità, evidente nella complessità della sua tappezzeria.
