Soklen blev designet i 2009 som et tilbehør til Kubus og Line for at beskytte overflader mod dryppende stearin. Soklen indrammer smukt lysestagerne og fremhæver det enkle design af både Kubus og Line. Soklen er designet med størst mulig respekt for arkitekten Mogens Lassen, både som arkitekt og som designer.

I was worried the base would look clunky under the candle holder, but it's actually quite elegant and frames it perfectly. The tray lip is just deep enough that the melted wax pools neatly instead of spilling over the edge, and it's easy to wipe clean after each burn.
The wax drips land right in the tray instead of staining my table, which is exactly what I needed for my Kubus. It’s sleek enough that it doesn’t take away from the holder itself, just gives it a clean frame.
