Veneer, Oak, Black, PU Lacquer

The grain still shows through beautifully under the black stain, so it looks like real wood rather than a flat painted surface. I’ve been staring at the sample piece for days and the PU lacquer gives it just the right amount of sheen without feeling plasticky.

The black stain on this oak veneer is beautifully even, and the lacquer gives it a smooth, almost satin feel that catches the light just right on our new table base. It pairs perfectly with the clean lines we were going for, and the color is a true deep black rather than a muddy grey.
