The grain pattern really pops under the oil, and the color is consistent across every panel I unboxed. The oiled finish gives the veneer a nice warm tone, and it matches the sample photos pretty closely. Just keep in mind it's a thin layer, so you really need a solid surface underneath or any imperfection will show through. Works fine for what I needed, though nothing blew me away.
